How do you describe your music to people?

My music is a vibe. How ever you're feeling at the moment; something I say should speak to your soul.

Tell us about your best gig in Sac.

My best show in Sac was when I opened up for SAWEETIE at Ace of Spades! The energy of the crowd was amazing, and I got to show out .

Tell us about your worst gig.

I never dwell on the worst, just evolve the best.

What artist or band are you a little embarrassed to love, and why?

The Civil Wars. I have a like for country, but I love folk and blues.

What was the first song you learned to play?

"Santa Baby" for my Christmas performance. Every year in voice lessons, we prepared a solo for our Christmas performance. It was like our fun exam.

What's next for you?

New music coming soon!

What's the story behind your stage name?

In the beginning of my music career, I was going by my first and middle name, Ashleigh Vaughnn, but when I was recreating my brand, Ace and I were having discussion about my name. She was in the middle of one of her rants and she yelled out, "Leigh Vaughnn" and that was it. It stuck!

Beyoncé, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj.

Who first inspired you to play music?

My mother first inspired me. She can sing and has sang to me since in the womb. I naturally just developed the love for it.
