Q & A

How do you describe your music to people?

02.04.19

Thrash metal that half-ass wants to be old-school death metal.

Tell us about how the band formed.

02.04.19

The band formed back in 2009 or so. We've gone through some stylistic changes as well as personnel changes, but the idea has stayed essentially the same. Were are just a bunch of dudes who wanna play heavy music.

Tell us about your best gig in Sac.

02.04.19

Our best show in Sac would be opening two sold-out shows at Ace of Spades. Our first one was opening for Testament back in 2013, and then Suicidal Tendencies the next year. It was crazy packed at both shows, and we were VERY well received. Made a lot of new fans both nights.

Tell us about your worst gig.

02.04.19

We drove south to Orange County to play a show. We were pretty excited about it, and when we got there, we played before they let anyone in the venue, so we basically played to the bartender and a few members of the other band, and our bass player broke a string during our first song. So we packed up our stuff and went and got drunk.

What's next for the band?

02.04.19

We have a ten-song album that we are releasing soon.

What's the story behind the band name?

02.04.19

It is a name our former vocalist came up with, in reference to the Max Brooks book The Zombie Survival Guide.

Who are your biggest influences?

02.04.19

Our influences are pretty wide, but to pin it down and not make it long-winded, we'd probably go with a lot of old-school thrash and death metal.
